ECPA stands for European Cast Polymer Association and is an organisation of manufacturers of mineral cast and solid surface in europe. The association is existing for ten years now. The aims and principal topics are:

• quality assurance
• environment protection
• recycling

The ECPA is supported by partners of the raw material industry and machinery industry.

Our members get informations about improvements and technical innovations about mineral cast and solid surface at our periodical meetings, supported by speeches from our suppliers.

The blue ECPA-quality seal documents the high quality standard of our products and express an important advantage to the competitive manufacturers not being certified.

The ECPA has decided currently some changes, in particular regarding the criteria of admission, which we introduced you today:

• Interested manufactures are warmly invited to each of our conferences. There you are able to get an impression of the ECPA and check the modalities of acceptance to our association. 
   
• The candidate has to test 3 washbasins by an independent test institution (recommendation: TGM, Wien) with the thermoshock test. 
  The positive test report and the written application are to be send to the ECPA. 
   
• The members of the ECPA have to approve unanimously the application of the potential new member. Besides, the new member has to install a thermoshock test machine in its factory. 
   
• The admission fee for new members is 1.500 €. 
   

• Once a year the members tests the basins two-way thermoshock. If you fail, you have the chance to repeat the test once. If you pass the test, you are authorized to use the ECPA – quality seal for the coming year. 
   
• The costs of the ECPA (balance sheet etc.) are divided by the members once a year. The yearly costs are planned to be approximately 500 € per member. 
   
• The membership is not temporary limited and can be cancelled from both sides in terms of six months in a written form. 
   
• The domicile of the ECPA will be from 01. January 2007 on D-35305 Grünberg – Hessen – Kantstrasse 22. 
  The managing director will be honorary Dr. Susanne Sollner. The substitute is Siegfried Lottmann.
